Lincoln Park Conservatory
The Chicago Parks Foundation came to us because the Lincoln Park Conservatory was falling into disarray, and the city’s parks district didn’t have any money to fix it up. What they needed was a campaign idea that could make a 19th-century flower house relevant in the 21st century—both to encourage big-money donors to give to the cause, and to turn the conservatory into a destination for the greater Chicago public.
So that’s what we gave them. The clients signed off on the campaign (and the tagline that I wrote) and were all ready to head into production…until COVID hit. And the whole thing was scrapped.
It can take away all of my vacations and summer plans, but I’ll be damned if I let that virus prevent me from showing off this great work.
